Hey Kev,

Just stopping by to say more power to you! I think pretty much every town in Lake County has approached the trustees to allow backyard hens. THAT's gotta mean something. Kinda sad that you need acreages for something the size of a Pomeranian because of antiquated ordinances, and misinformed people who fear monger about anything in life.
If things don't work out, remember - elections for the villages are next spring. Sustainability is a big issue for the future of us all.
<3 best wishes,

Thanks for the kind words! So far, the Glencoe residents that I have approached to sign the petition to allow backyard chickens were ALL for it (I'm sure there are some that object, but my "polling" indicates overwhelming support). With those numbers, I can't see how the board has any arguments left against it. I would hope that if there were a few objections, they wouldn't let that shadow the vast majority that are for it.
